30x30: Experiences from Conservation Trust Funds

The panel will feature experiences from conservation trust funds (CTFs) from Brazil, Bhutan, Peru, Mozambique, the Caribbean and Mexico in reaching the Kunming Montreal target of protecting 30% of these countries by 2030. Highlights will include collaboration with governments, estimates of financial gaps for protected areas, long-term financial mechanisms, and participation including gender, local communities and indigenous groups. Difficulties and key elements for success will be presented.
