In 2019, the GEF launched the Inclusive Conservation Initiative (ICI), which started in 2022 with over $22.5 million in financing and $90 million expected in co-financing. The initiative facilitates IPs and LCs' management of their resources, aiming to catalyze significant changes and enhance their role in biodiversity conservation. During the event, Indigenous leaders will discuss ICI's strategic achievements and the launch of the ICI Phase 2 Report, detailing its impact and direction.
