Transportation infrastructure plays a critical role in connecting people to the services they need, but at a steep cost to nature and climate. To reverse this trend, mainstreaming biodiversity is key and requires concerted action across the KMGBF targets. Countries are meeting this challenge head on through an innovative new GEF initiative - the Greening Transportation Infrastructure Development Integrated Program. This session examines how transforming upstream policy and planning is essential.
